Former Bachelorette star Minnesota on Saturday, June 7. The ceremony took place at Woodland Glasshaus at Bavaria Downs in Chaska, with approximately 200 guests in attendance.
According to People, the 32-year-old Bachelor Nation alum walked down the aisle as violinist Daniel Gilbert performed “Love Me For The Both Of Us” by CJ Fam. Young wore a custom-designed white wedding gown by Anne Barge, while her bridesmaids were dressed in black attire.
The couple, who made their relationship Instagram official in October 2023 with photos captioned “Hit the Jackpot with you,” incorporated unique elements into their ceremony. Before exchanging their handwritten vows, the couple played Rock, Paper, Scissors, a quirky moment that echoes celebrity wedding surprises like Elin Nordegren’s to determine who would read first.
The couple chose family-style dining to honor their Italian heritage
The ceremony was officiated by Leius’ boss and former University of Minnesota football coach, Mike Sherels, whose twin daughters served as flower girls. The groom walked down the aisle to “Lovers and Friends” by Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz featuring Usher and Ludacris, wearing a tuxedo from SuitShop.
Following their “I dos,” the newlyweds made a conscious decision to remain side by side throughout the evening. Their first dance was to “Hate That I Love You” by Rihanna featuring Ne-Yo, a song that held special meaning as it played during their first meeting.
The reception featured family-style dining provided by D’Amico Hospitality, honoring Leius’ Italian heritage. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, the couple opted for a diverse dessert table including cheesecake, key lime pie, butterscotch panna cotta, tiramisu, and limoncello. Later in the evening, guests were surprised by the arrival of Parlour’s food truck serving burgers.
The couple, who got engaged in October 2024 at Centennial Lakes in Edina, Minnesota, plan to honeymoon in Italy for two weeks at the end of summer. Young and Leius, both Minnesota natives, look forward to starting a family together and potentially coaching their future children in athletics.
