Now, US duo Savagez have put their own unique spin on “Villain,” resulting in a fresh new take on an already great song. Slowing down the tempo just a bit and adding in several trap elements and some heavy bass to give us a more melodic version of the track, the boys stay true to the spirit of the original while still sprinkling in some of their signature sound.

“We’re going through some difficult emotional moments right now in life and the original hit right at home with all that,” said the boys when we asked them what inspired the remix. “We would jam it in the car and it would just take us to another level. Euphoric, enlightened, happiness, all those feelings at once, couldn’t resist remixing this track with some heavy bass.”

“Villain” is yet another impressive remix from Savagez, following in the footsteps of their work on tracks like Calvin Harris’ “Outside” and Martin Garrix, DVBBS and Sander van Doorn’s “Gold Skies,” among others. They’re quickly building a rather large fanbase for themselves and if you count yourself a fan of trap, you’re definitely going to want to keep an eye on them.
