Born on Nov. 9, 1992, in Detroit, Michigan, CoryxKenshin is a massively popular 32-year-old YouTuber with over 20 million subscribers. He’s best known for how he comedically plays through horror video games, such as Five Nights at Freddy’s and Bloodborne, but also for his love of manga and anime, which he can regularly be heard talking about and often discussing the possibility of creating one of his own. It’s now been revealed that he has, and it’s called “Monsters We Make.”

Starting on June 27, 2023, he disappeared from YouTube for around a year and a half. However, he recently reemerged on the popular video-sharing platform with two new s that revealed the big news and explained his 18-month absence.

The first video, ed on Dec. 13, was 107 seconds long and titled “Hey.. long time no see.” The first half of the video was an animated trailer that ended with the words “A new manga emerges” above the Monsters We Make title card. CoryxKenshin then appears on screen and delivers a short speech saying it’s good to be back. The video ends with the date 12.16.24.

On Dec. 16, as the previous video teased, a second video was ed to CoryxKenshin’s YouTube channel. This one was much longer — 23 minutes and 12 seconds, to be precise — and titled “Where I’ve been for the past year…”

In the video, CoryxKenshin goes into great detail about his recently released manga (which can be purchased digitally at the official Monsters We Make website before the release of physical copies, incidentally) and the extensive work that’s been put into it.

It’s getting excellent reviews, and the synopsis for the story reads, “For Jabari Booker, New Edyn Academy promised a future of music and mastery. But on his first day, that promise shatters into a nightmare. As he’s dragged deeper into the abyss, he realizes that true horror awaits at the end of the broken road. To survive, he must battle not only New Edyn’s monsters but also the corruption festering within its walls.” But will it ever be made into an anime series?

Will Monsters We Make become an anime?

After explaining his aims for the Monsters We Make manga, CoreyxKenshin was very specific about his intentions to have it adapted into an anime. After explaining that his first ambition was for a rich, thought-provoking story that was positive in nature, he said, “My second ambition for Monsters We Make, is to adapt the manga into an anime. You can do anything that you set your mind to. I believe in my heart that I can get this to become an anime. The ultimate goal for Monsters We Make is to get it to a studio. So again, Netlflix, CrunchyRoll, MAPPA, I’m looking at you. Whoever wants to come put in their bids, do it early.”

Those are some lofty ambitions, given the major studios and streaming services he’s calling upon to express an interest in Monsters We Make. However, if the manga proves to be as popular as early reviews suggest throughout its whole run, there’s every chance they could become a reality. We’ll keep you posted.

What happened to CoryxKenshin? https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/celebrities/what-happened-to-coryxkenshin/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/celebrities/what-happened-to-coryxkenshin/#respond Tue, 23 Apr 2024 17:30:00 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1686716 The popular creator's been awol for awhile. ]]>

Over the summer of 2023, a strange rumor surrounding YouTuber CoryxKenshin began to swirl. An alteration to his Wikipedia page prompted rumors of the young creator’s demise, panicking his fans and worrying the web.

The alteration proved to be entirely false — CoryxKenshin is still alive and well — but it proved how little fuel is needed to ignite an internet-wide fire. One little edit on his Wikipedia page led to confirmation from Google, which many took as concrete proof that Cory Williams, who fans know by his YouTube moniker, was dead.

The issue was ultimately resolved, but that initial rumor never would have spread if not for the brief break Cory was taking at the time. He sometimes takes a step back from content creation to focus on his mental health or other exploits, and his fans have a tendency to blow those absences out of proportion. The popular YouTuber is once again on a break, leading to rampant rumors about his absence, but lets not jump to conclusions too quick.

Is CoryxKenshin still alive?

I know I already addressed this, but you and I also know you didn’t read that entire intro. You skipped straight to the main question you wanted answered, so here I am, providing answers. Yes, Cory is still very much alive. Rumors of his death were seemingly started by a fan, following a break in content creation, and then picked up by the Google algorithm back in July of 2023. You’d think the creator’s appearance in October of 2023’s Five Nights at Freddy’s would be enough to confirm that the 31-year-old is still with us, but alas, the memory of the web is short.

What is CoryxKenshin up to now?

Its been months since a fresh landed on CoryxKenshin’s YouTube page, which leaves the creator’s fans wondering just what he’s doing with his time. Considering his history, however — which has seen the 31-year-old take frequent breaks to focus in on his personal life, mental health, and other projects — you’d think fans would take a breath before jumping to conclusions.

Cory is still around, but don’t hold your breath for his next video. He posts to both YouTube and TikTok on occasion, but his last TikTok video was ed in 2022, and his most recent YouTube video was posted in 2023, just ahead of the Five Nights at Freddy’s premiere.

The most recent on CoryxKenshin’s YouTube page is more than half a year old, leaving his Instagram with the most recent content ed. Even that is months old, and fans have taken notice. The post, which contains a lineup of images of Cory and his friends enjoying a night out, is littered with questions about the content creator. People have flooded the comment section with ponderings about Cory’s whereabouts, with quite a few accusing the 31-year-old of “abandoning” his fans once again.

But really, he’s not abandoning anyone. Fame has a tendency to make people feel entitled to a space in celebrity’s lives, but that’s nothing but an illusion. Cory is taking a step back to focus on what he wants, and at the moment that doesn’t appear to be content creation. If the creative spark strikes, he may be back on his platforms eventually, but if he never returns thats Cory’s business. He’s free to do as he wishes, and — while his fans will certainly miss him — its hard to blame the man for wanting a life outside the spotlight.

This article contains spoilers for Five Nights at Freddy’s

The highly anticipated horror Five Nights at Freddy’s has finally premiered, and fans are psyched to see so many cameos by their favorite YouTubers. While some leaked ahead of the film’s release, viewers were still surprised by a few unexpected appearances.

How YouTubers earned cameo roles

If you’re a gamer, then you know that the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise got its start as an indie horror game. Brought to life by Scott Cawthon, it first gained popularity when major YouTubers started streaming their gameplay.

Without their promotion, there’s no way the franchise would be what it is today. For that reason, it’s no surprise that a handful earned a cameo role in the movie.

Five Nights at Freddy’s Employee of the Month board

When the Five Nights at Freddy’s trailer was released, many fans noticed an Employee of the Month board hanging in the background. After some digging, it was revealed that the photos on the board featured YouTubers 8-Bit Ryan, Baz, Razzbowski, FusionZGamer, and Dawko.

CoryxKenshin plays a cab driver

Cory, better known as CoryxKenshin, is one of the top YouTubers in the country. While he’s usually creating humorous horror gaming videos, he has recently taken up acting with a cameo in Five Nights at Freddy’s. He kept his appearance in the movie hush-hush until the trailer was released, after which he jokingly told his fans on YouTube:

“Yes, you guys. I am entering into my actor era. You can start calling me CoryxHollywood.”

In the film, Cory plays a cab driver who gives a ride to Abby, played by Piper Rubio, and a battered Freddy animatronic.

MatPat makes a surprise cameo

Matthew Patrick, best known as MatPat, managed to keep his Five Nights at Freddy’s cameo somewhat of a surprise. The Game Theory creator appears in the movie as a cafe waiter, during which he makes a cheeky comment reminiscent of his show’s catchphrase.

When one of his customers turns down ordering food, he insists, claiming lunch is the most important meal of the day. But we all know that’s not how the saying goes, and when that’s pointed out to him, MatPat responds with:

“Some people say that, but that’s just a theory.”

Markiplier doesn’t make a cameo

Many fans were disappointed to learn that YouTuber Mark Fischbach, better known as Markiplier, didn’t make a cameo in the film. Despite being one of the biggest to give Five Nights at Freddy’s a boost by regularly streaming his gameplay and his ambiguity regarding the subject, viewers won’t find his adorable mug anywhere.

During a recent stream, he shared the disappointing news, explaining that he was invited to make a cameo, but couldn’t make it work with his schedule.

“It was supposed to happen. There was a time that it was supposed to occur and unfortunately, and I saw this coming a while away, but unfortunately, the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie and my movie Iron Lung were being filmed at the exact same time, and this was not anything other than it just so happened to be a conflict of schedule.”

Despite the schedule conflict, Markiplier still tried to make it work and didn’t want to let his fans know one way or another until the decision was final.

Watch Five Nights at Freddy’s now in theaters and on Peacock.

Is YouTuber CoryxKenshin in the ‘FNAF’ movie? https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/movies/is-youtuber-coryxkenshin-in-the-fnaf-movie/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/movies/is-youtuber-coryxkenshin-in-the-fnaf-movie/#respond Thu, 26 Oct 2023 14:08:10 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1522810 All the stars want to see Freddy.]]>

After months of anticipation and years of developmental discussion, production powerhouse Blumhouse has released the official trailer for the live-action Five Nights at Freddy’s film adaptation at long last. All across the internet, horror fanatics and FNAF truthers have been dissecting and studying every element and breadcrumb scattered throughout the 2 minute-long trailer.

Amongst those online discussions has been a particular question that has been skyrocketing in the minds of gamers and YouTube fans alike — and that would be the potential inclusion of YouTuber CoryxKenshin in the FNAF clip. The notable YouTuber and comedian has been a staple on YouTube ever since 2009 — with the always-hilarious gamer becoming a household name in the world of horror video games for his comedic gameplay and unforgettable videos.

In the closing moments of the trailer, Cory is revealed in the movie as a taxi driver who picks up occupants outside of the cursed pizzeria. Unbeknownst to Cory at first, the occupants in the back seat that he picked up are Abby Schmidt (Piper Rubio) and a disembodied animatronic head. After checking his rearview mirror and spotting the striking head, Cory whines about how he always picks up the “weirdos” as a cab driver.

The special cameo makes perfect sense, of course, seeing as the FNAF game series has been one of the most popular that Cory has played over on his official YouTube channel. Not only that, but acclaimed YouTuber Markiplier has also been rumored to make an appearance in the movie — though he later took to a live-stream to debunk those rumors.

Which leaves just CoryxKenshin with a cameo. Following the arrival of early trailers for FNAF, the popular YouTuber kept to his brand and ed a reaction video. In the video, he notes that the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie officially marks the beginning of his “acting era,” and jokes about branching off into bigger projects.

Jokes aside, CoryxKenshin credits the game with changing the trajectory of his life, and calls his involvement in its film adaptation a “once in a lifetime” opportunity. His fans certainly seem to agree, based on their enthusiastic responses to the trailer. They’ll be heading to theaters for the film’s Oct. 27 release in droves, celebrating an internet legend and his move to the big screen.
