You have to envy the very stupid. Most of us occupy a boring but depressing world in which we try our best to find a few moments of happiness and delight amidst the drudgery of everyday life. But for the very stupid, the world is a wonderful, magical place of supernatural creatures, real-life fairytales, and magical worlds competing with our own.

Take Full House star Candace Cameron Bure, for example. On a recent episode of her podcast, Bure explained to her bewildered listeners that she sees her TV as “the portal”. I mean, I guess it is a window into your home that brings stuff in, but there’s no way she could be being literal. Oh, wait she absolutely is:

“Like if you’re watching this, or you’re playing this video game, or whatever, that’s a portal that could let stuff inside our home. I don’t even want someone watching a scary movie in our house on the TV, because to me, that’s just a portal.”

Bure revealed that her family “make fun of her” when she starts talking about this. Yeah? No kidding… But she went on to underline that somewhere along the line, there’s the prospect of an “incredibly demonic” force eager to push through into the Bure household if a scary movie happened to play on it.

Incredibly demonic

She its that as someone who works in TV and film she knows how production works, and that there’s no “Demonic Liaison” department alongside Catering, Costumes, and Make-up. But, presumably somewhere in post-production, the diabolical forces get in!

“Listen, I’m in the film industry. I understand how it all works. I know that movie has a crew of 200 people, and they’re lighting it, and they’re adding the sound effects, and it’s makeup, and the camera, people, and actors. However, there’s still something that can be incredibly demonic while they’ve made it.”

It must be so fun to be this dumb. Imagine the excitement and tension of living in a world where you believe demonic forces are desperate to escape into their world through your TV set, if only you choose to put a horror movie on! To be fair, if Bure actually seriously no kidding believes demons have the potential to invade her house through the portal that is her TV, then why does she even have a TV?

Is it worth risking being menaced by the sadistic and homicidal legions of hell so you can watch The View and Oprah. Well, apparently yes, it is!

Full House was a pop culture hallmark of my ’90s childhood, and fans of the sappy family sitcom like myself are sad to hear some health news about one of its biggest stars.

Dave Coulier shared that he received a diagnosis of stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The actor told People his doctor said the condition is “aggressive.” He was diagnosed three days after he got checked out for swollen lymph nodes because of an upper respiratory infection. He told TODAY “It’s very treatable” and “Should be total remission” in February 2025.

Coulier explained that he began chemotherapy two weeks after learning what was wrong and said something many who are struggling with illness can relate to: “I have my good days. I have my bad days.” He also called the diagnosis of B-cell lymphoma “overwhelming” and “a really fast roller coaster ride of a journey” because “I went from, I got a little bit of a head cold to I have cancer, and it was pretty overwhelming.”

Fans are of course devastated about this news that the star of all those cozy episodes has been dealing with. Viewers began talking about it on X as soon as it came out. One wrote, “Uncle Joey has cancer?!” and another wrote, “WE CANT LOSE ANOTHER ONE.”

This news would always be somber, but it feels particularly tough for the Full House cast, who lost Bob Saget suddenly in January 2022. There have been a lot of behind-the-scenes stories about the show, but the cast still talk about how much they love one another. Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin even have a podcast called How Rude, Tanneritos.

Coulier has been sharing his health story in various interviews and also on his podcast, Full House Rewind, which he now hosts along with his co-star Marla Sokoloff ( Stephanie’s mean friend Gia?). When the actor announced he was sober in 2022, his co-stars were there for him, and they are no doubt cheering him on right now as he deals with his cancer diagnosis.

Someone will receive a Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosis if the Reed-Sternberg cell is in their body, but without it, it’s called non-Hodgkin lymphoma, according to Healthline. The publication also explained that many people go through chemotherapy or radiation when they have each of these conditions. Four percent of cancer is non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and the American Cancer Society estimates that it will be fatal for 20,140. 36,030 men and 44,590 women will receive a 2024 diagnosis.

Thankfully, it sounds like Coulier will be okay, but of course, everyone feels for him and his loved ones as he gets treatment and heals. It’s terrifying to be told you have cancer, and even comedians and actors like Coulier aren’t immune to that.

Throughout his interviews, the Full House actor has said he wants to discuss having cancer so he can help others. He has also said that people must go to the doctor and get the necessary tests so they can get the treatment they need if they unfortunately get diagnosed. There are many awful cases when it’s too late to do anything, but hopefully, that wasn’t the case with Coulier.

Fans are sending the actor love… or, you might say, “Everywhere you look, everywhere you go/There’s a heart, a hand to hold onto.”

From goofy, over-the-top holiday sweaters to carolers jumping from door-to-door, the ‘90s were undoubtedly chock-full of memorable Yuletide moments. But perhaps no other form of entertainment invokes memories of the ‘90s quite like its mass collection of Christmas television content — especially when it comes to sitcoms.

Much like a variety of other shows, ‘90s television specifically featured a handful of holiday episodes that kept viewers thoroughly entertained and begging for more. These episodes usually included the most typical elements of Christmas — somebody dressed in a Santa suit, milk and cookies scattered everywhere, and wacky sweaters that would surely win the Ugly Sweater contest at your local bar. Nevertheless, these holiday specials are timeless.

With Christmas just around the corner, we’ve already showcased every Christmas episode of Frasier for your Yuletide marathons, so let’s dive in and explore the 10 best ‘90s sitcom Christmas episodes to get you in the holiday spirit.

10. Home Improvement – “Home for the Holidays”

Image via ABC

Long before he was Santa Claus, Tim Allen led the charge for several Christmas episodes on the beloved ‘90s sitcom. For the final Christmas-themed episode, Tim and Al unknowingly go head-to-head in a battle for which house in the neighborhood has the best lights while Randy returns home and tries to adjust to all the new household changes. It’s a worthy episode packed with nostalgia of Allen’s sitcom stomping ground.

9. The Nanny – “Oy to the World”

Image via CBS

The Nanny was nothing short of hilarious at every turn, so it certainly comes as no surprise that its Christmas episode is jam-packed with fun. As the show’s only animation episode, Fran, Brighton, and Fran’s dog Chester find themselves stranded in the North Pole as the trio encounter Santa and his parade of elves, where Fran eventually conveys the message to a spoiled Brighton of what Christmas is all about — and it’s not the expensive gifts.

8. Boy Meets World – “A Very Topanga Christmas”

Image via ABC

Splitting time between families when you’re in a relationship is never easy, which is perfectly showcased in this particular Christmas special. As Cory wishes to celebrate the holidays his way, Topanga prefers partaking in celebrations that her family does. All works out in the end, of course, with the couple realizing that Christmas is about spending time with each other and family, not about the things you do.

7. Family Matters – “Have Yourself A Merry Winslow Christmas”

Image via ABC

Family Matters was a television series crawling with life lessons and taking the charge on serious topics, so it makes absolute sense as to why all of its episodes are fondly ed — including its very first Christmas special. After Steve accidentally destroys Laura’s ornament and after being left at home by himself for Christmas, the entire Winslow clan comes together and invites Steve to spend the holiday with them. This episode is just another example of how important this family sitcom truly was.

6. Everybody Loves Raymond – “The Toaster”

Image via CBS

It’s certainly no secret that Everybody Loves Raymond featured a wide variety of hilarious moments, and the ever-present hilarity definitely doesn’t come up short in this particular Christmas episode. Chaos absolutely breaks loose in this special after Ray finds out that his parents returned an engraved toaster that he bought for them for the holiday. It’s a wacky episode that embodies exactly the sort of humor this series has always harbored.

5. Seinfeld – “The Strike”

Image via NBC

As one of the most controversial sitcoms of all time, it feels absolutely fitting that Seinfeld’s Christmas episode would land on this list. Coining and popularizing the holiday of Festivus, the special centers around George and Frank Costanza introducing Festivus, a holiday celebrated days before Christmas that excludes the excessive commercialism and stress of the major holiday. It certainly wouldn’t be a list of favorable sitcoms without including Seinfeld on here.

4. Frasier – “Merry Christmas, Mrs. Moskowitz”

Frasier, Fay, and Mrs. Moskowitz stand in Frasier's doorway as Niles dressed as Jesus enters the apartment

Yes, we have an entire list of Christmas episodes from Frasier already, but we’d be absolute fools to not select one to place on this list. And without skipping a beat, this particular Christmas special is the best of them all. As Frasier pretends to be Jewish to impress the family of his new girlfriend, Niles eventually shows up dressed as Jesus and unloads one of the funniest scenes in the history of ‘90s TV. Give this one a watch right now.

3. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air – “Deck the Halls”

Will Smith has certainly become a controversial figure over the last few years, but there’s simply no denying the huge splash Fresh Prince made during the ‘90s — especially with a Christmas special as iconic as this. Now living with the Banks, Will realizes that their idea of Christmas is much different in California, leading him to craft the “perfect” holiday for the family. The special is full of nonstop comedic bits and showcases how important it is to be with family during the holidays.

2. Full House – “Our Very First Christmas Show”

Image via ABC

I think I speak on behalf of many folks when I say that Full House is one of those sitcoms that raised us. So when discussing the best Christmas specials, it would feel criminal to not include this Yuletide special. With the Tanner family stranded in an airport due to a massive snowstorm, Stephanie worries that Santa won’t be able to find her. Luckily, Santa uses his magical powers and ends up delivering presents to the Tanners and others while stuck in the airport. It’s a feel-good episode that echoes the joy of Christmas.

1. Friends – “The One With the Holiday Armadillo”

Image via NBC

Come on, was there ever any actual doubt? To this day, Friends remains a cultural phenomenon and one of the best sitcoms of the ‘90s — with its large helping of holiday episodes still burned into our brains. In this particular episode, Ross fears that his son isn’t experienced enough in Jewish heritage, so he unleashes his “Holiday Armadillo” costume to get the festivities rolling and to teach everybody about the importance of their own unique holidays and celebrations.

The 10 best ’90s family sitcom Halloween episodes https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/tv/the-10-best-90s-family-sitcom-halloween-episodes/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/tv/the-10-best-90s-family-sitcom-halloween-episodes/#respond Fri, 15 Sep 2023 17:07:28 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1587571 Featuring everyone from Sabrina to Urkel, these nostalgic episodes will put you in the perfect fall spirit.]]>

The moment we all feel that crisp autumn breeze shimmer down our spine, it’s a tell-tale sign that spooky season is finally upon us. Of course, the copious amounts of pumpkin spice and apple cider are enough to send us all into a sugar-induced coma, but that’s the fun of it all, isn’t it? The Halloween season certainly does convey a message of childhood nostalgia, especially when the activity of taking a stroll down memory lane and watching classic television series occurs.

For many of us, the ‘90s was one of the best decades ever for television, which is probably why the majority of us have such a hard time letting go. Luckily, indulging in spooktacular episodes from the ‘90s is enough to keep us thoroughly entertained and laughing alongside some of our favorite characters. So move over, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown ⏤ you’ll get your turn eventually. For now, it’s time to revisit some beloved half-hour Halloween episodes from ‘90s family sitcoms that are as enjoyable now as they were when they first aired.

1. That ‘70s Show: “Halloween” (season 2, episode 5)

Despite the show finding itself in a whirlwind of controversy lately due to stars Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Danny Masterson, the show’s iconic Halloween episode remains one of the best from the ‘90s. Then again, fan-favorite Fez dres as Batman and trick-or-treating with a pillow case is all the proof you need that the episode is fantastic.

2. Will & Grace: “Boo! Humbug” (season 1, episode 5)

Who doesn’t love venturing out on Halloween night and befriending a couple of dedicated drag queens, am I right? Luckily, that’s exactly the sort of scenario which unfolds in this Halloween episode of the iconic sitcom. The icing on the cake is Jack doing his first Cher impression — we’ll let that one sink in.

3. Family Matters: “Stevil” (season 8, episode 7)

If you’re looking for a Halloween episode that is straight nightmare fuel, then you’ve come to the right place. The idea of Steve Urkel creating a ventriloquist dummy inspired by his own personal appearance is weird enough, but when the doll comes to life during the evening hours, weirdness turns into sheer panic.

4. Full House: “It Was a Dark and Stormy Night” (season 7, episode 1)

We’ll be honest with you — this episode was released in September, so it isn’t exactly a Halloween episode, but we’re including it anyway. Wth DJ’s boyfriend Steve telling a ghost story about a deranged killer drenched in mud while the kids are at sleepaway camp, it pretty much feels like an episode that’s best viewed during Halloween. Just make sure you keep the lights on.

5. Sabrina the Teenage Witch: “Good Will Haunting” (season 3, episode 6)

With a show about a literal teenage witch, it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that the show took Halloween to a whole new level. In this specific Halloween special, Sabrina is given a talking doll that terrorizes her and her friends. Annabelle, anyone? To be fair, The Conjuring simply can’t compare to the magic of the ‘90s, at least when it comes to Halloweenie fun.

6. Frasier: “Halloween” (season 5, episode 3)

https://youtu.be/wedJzRGEp_s?si=N46poGLUHF7uxL_k

Everybody can surely appreciate Frasier for its unforgettable characters and stellar comedic writing. Of course, its Halloween episode proved to be no different and is often considered one of the show’s undisputed best. From Niles drunkenly making a fool of himself to a party chock-full of gossip spreading throughout, this one is definitely worth a watch this spooky season.

7. Roseanne: “Halloween IV” (season 5, episode 7)

The scariest thing about Roseanne Barr is her political comments from a few years back, but that’s a story for a different day. Before that, Roseanne boasted some of the best Halloween episodes on TV, which included a gut-busting episode where Roseanne was visited by the Halloween ghosts of the past, present, and future in a bizarre take on A Christmas Carol that we still adore.

8. Friends: “The One With the Halloween Party” (season 8, episode 6)

Just as water is wet, Friends has a colossal collection of holiday-themed episodes. But if we had to narrow it down the very best, we’d have to choose the Halloween episode where Monica and Chandler throw a face-melting costume party with a variety of feartastic costumes and wild moments. Technically, the episode didn’t air in the ‘90s, but we’ll let it slide simply because it’s Friends.

9. Boy Meets World: “And Then There Was Shawn” (season 5, episode 17)

We’re cheating with this episode, technically, seeing as it was released in February. Nevertheless, it’s worth arguing that no other episode on this list gives off a Halloween-y feel like this. With a witty take on teen slashers and channeling a variety of classic horror tropes (not to mention a cameo from Jennifer Love Fefferman), it’s a Halloween-esque TV masterpiece that feels like something straight out of Friday the 13th.

10. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: “Hex and the Single Guy” (season 4, episode 7)

It wouldn’t be the ‘90s without the Fresh Prince finding himself in a peculiar predicament. In an episode featuring Carlton dres as Macaulay Culkin from Home Alone and the entire Banks family being cursed by a medium thanks to Will’s disbelief, the entire special is an unforgettable experience that’s perfect for viewing alongside a bucket of popcorn and candy corn.

‘One of the biggest influences of my life was Bob’: John Stamos’ greatest gift from ‘Full House’ was Bob Saget https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/celebrities/one-of-the-biggest-influences-of-my-life-was-bob-john-stamos-greatest-gift-from-full-house-was-bob-saget/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/celebrities/one-of-the-biggest-influences-of-my-life-was-bob-john-stamos-greatest-gift-from-full-house-was-bob-saget/#respond Sun, 27 Aug 2023 23:47:48 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1573119 Stamos calls Saget a brother, and the love they had for one another is a beautiful thing.]]>

It’s hard to imagine John Stamos without Bob Saget; while they played in-laws on television throughout the run of both Full House and Fuller House, their bond off-screen was something much more profound. The pair were thick as thieves, quickly becoming family to one another, cementing a lifelong bond that many would envy.

Stamos was initially quite hesitant to be part of Full House at first, as many believed it “wouldn’t last until Thanksgiving,” having aired its first episode on Sept. 22, but as fans know — it became a staple in pop culture. While being part of an iconic series was a life-changing event, it was a relationship that truly altered the course of his life for the better.

Stamos tells CBS Sunday Morning that he considers Saget his greatest gift from Full House, a blessing that still impacts him to this day:

“I don’t know what else to say about it other than obviously, you know, I met one of the biggest influences in my life…it was Bob. I wouldn’t be who I am without Bob. My parents and that’s obvious, but him, you know…he was there for everything. All the good and al the bad. He was…he was my brother, and he’s the brother that I…I always wanted.”

The brother that Stamos always wanted, Saget stepped into a role for the megastar that would positively change the course of his being, and as he teared up speaking about the way Stamos was there with him through everything, it was immediately apparent that Saget was one of those once-in-a-lifetime friendships to Stamos. The kind that makes the sun brighter, a cool breeze cooler, and can take the most mundane everyday occurrences and turn them into something magic.

Saget tragically ed away on Jan. 9, 2022, and that loss is something that Stamos carries with him daily. During his interview, he brought out a guitar that Saget’s wife, Kelly, gave Stamos after his ing. He began to strum on the instrument while laughing, saying you could only use it to play “dirty songs.”

Stamos’ bond with Saget defies life and death; he’s a constant in his life, even while he exists in another plane, waiting for the day that his best friend and brother is set to him. For now, Stamos is happy in the present; in fact, he quoted Winnie the Pooh as saying, “today is my new favorite day.”

Each day is a beautiful new experience for Stamos, and as he walks into a realm of existence where he’s excited about the present and the future, we’re sure he doesn’t need to be reminded that Saget is always with him, cheering him on.

‘I think people thought I was doing a lot of things with a lot of women’: John Stamos on Lothario image https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/celebrities/i-think-people-thought-i-was-doing-a-lot-of-things-with-a-lot-of-women-john-stamos-on-lothario-image/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/celebrities/i-think-people-thought-i-was-doing-a-lot-of-things-with-a-lot-of-women-john-stamos-on-lothario-image/#respond Sun, 27 Aug 2023 21:19:42 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1573067 The reality is actually far more interesting.]]>

John Stamos is a man with a list of accolades longer than his mullet in the ’80s and more talent and ion in his pinky finger than most — and much like a character from a Disney fairytale, he didn’t quite catch on to the need to grow up until well beyond the age when most people thought he should.

The idea of tiptoeing into adulthood never appealed to Stamos, and in part, that’s likely because he’s never desired to tiptoe into anything before. Stamos lives with an exuberant grace, never quietly going into any chapter of his life but also never doing so with a chaos-inducing need for attention.

Instead, as he explains to CBS Sunday Morning, he rebelled in a way that might be relatable to some. Still, it wasn’t the center of tabloid news articles or something fans saw everywhere through a series of emotional explosions and out-of-character behavior. It was something more like a tantrum you might see at home when a kid is too tired to follow the rules:

“I went into becoming an adult kicking and screaming; when you have the whole world going, ‘You look 20,’ and then I didn’t have any of those tent poles that say you’re an adult. I was just skating through. I didn’t have to (grow up), I had Peter Pan syndrome, which is dangerous — you know.”

With songs like “Peter Pan” and “Never Grow Up,” Peter Pan syndrome is something we’re all familiar with, and Stamos says that it can actually be quite dangerous.

It’s normal to want to cling to childhood to some degree, be it as a longing for simpler times or as a desire to hold on to the familiar, but it’s not practical to exist in a state of Peter Pan syndrome forever. Stamos recognizes that within himself and describes danger as a warning to others.

He notes that he didn’t have a strong sense of on the path to growing up; instead, he was told he looked younger than he was, he missed the “tent poles” of a way to adulthood, and he didn’t realize that — for a time — he was getting lost in it.

Alongside that idea of never growing up came another image for Stamos that he says was fabricated and exaggerated on all fronts: the idea of him being a Lothario.

“There was a long time when I felt like ‘I need to be this Lothario’ because people were living vicariously through me, which I thought they were, and maybe they were — but I wasn’t that guy. I mean, there were moments, but I think people thought I was out doing a lot of things with a lot of women, and I wasn’t.”

It warmed our hearts to hear the following statement out of Stamos’ mouth, one that was as funny as it was endearing and really solidified that there wasn’t a lot of time for him to be navigating life as a Casanova:

“First of all, the thing that saved me most was I would go to bed around eight o’clock. I was always asleep!”

Stamos is as handsome now as he was before, so it makes sense that people thought he’d be playing the field in his youth — he’s happily married to his wife, Caitlin McHugh, these days — but that early bedtime means he missed a lot of the all-nighter parties where most of that canoodling would have been happening.

Stamos might have lived with Peter Pan syndrome for most of his life, but his soul has always seemed wise beyond his years — and his vulnerability in talking about the hang-ups he had growing up might be exactly what his fans need to hear.

From their shared role as Michelle Tanner in Full House to their numerous films, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen became icons of family entertainment. The Olsen Twins’ movies are synonymous with childhood nostalgia for many, offering a delightful blend of comedy, adventure, and heartwarming lessons. Whether playing identical twins or unrelated look-alikes, their on-screen chemistry and charm have made them beloved figures in pop culture.

Another reason for Mary-Kate and Ashley’s continued popularity is that they’ve kept their personal lives under wraps, which is unusual for celebrities. In 2023, Ashley Olsen celebrated a major personal milestone with the birth of her first child. Like the rest of the Olsen twins’ personal lives, this happy occasion was celebrated behind closed doors. It took months for the news to spread, but now that it has, fans worldwide are celebrating with the twins, whose media empire includes films, TV programs, music, magazines, and even a fashion line.

The Olsen twins left acting in the mid-2000s to pursue a career in fashion and co-founded fashion labels such as The Row and Elizabeth and James, winning critical acclaim for their refined and minimalist designs. Still, their films and shows linger in many people’s memories. As a tribute to two performers who became cultural icons as they came of age in the spotlight, we look back at the best movies and TV series starring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

The Olsen twins voiced the main characters in the animated series Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action!, which built on their existing fame from their live-action roles in movies and television shows. The series followed the exploits of special agents Misty and Amber, voiced by Mary-Kate and Ashley, respectively. As part of a covert government agency, these teenage spies travel the globe on exciting missions to foil criminal plots and stop villains.

Whether it’s preventing a criminal from stealing priceless treasures or saving endangered creatures, the stakes remain high in each episode. Misty and Amber are always able to save the day with the use of cutting-edge technology, coordinated effort, and their wits. The series was well-received by fans of the Olsen twins and attracted a younger demographic who enjoyed the action-packed adventures. However, it only lasted for one season, with 26 episodes.

9. Winning London (2001)

In Winning London, the twins take on the roles of Chloe and Riley Lawrence, two sisters who embark on an exciting adventure to London. Chloe is the more courageous and risk-taking sibling. She’ll do anything to win the Model United Nations (MUN) competition with her team. Ashley plays the more chill and style-conscious sibling, Riley. Riley is proud of her sister and encourages her to pursue her dreams, although she is initially more excited about experiencing London. Her persona helps keep things in perspective, encouraging viewers and Chloe to savor every moment of life.

As Riley participates more actively in the Model United Nations competition, she develops as a person and finds her own interest in debate and diplomacy. The film highlights the twins’ teamwork, mutual , and how their skills and shortcomings complement each other. Their shared London experiences lead to development for both characters, making Winning London more than just an enjoyable adventure but also a journey of self-discovery.

8. Billboard Dad (1998)

Billboard Dad is a charming family comedy featuring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen as Tess and Emily Tyler, respectively. Tess is a great diver on her high school’s diving team with a tomboyish demeanor, while Emily is her more artistic and thoughtful sister. Emily enjoys painting and is often seen as the more sensitive of the two.

The film’s plot revolves around the girls’ love and concern for their father, who seems lonely after the loss of their mother. They believe that finding him a new partner will bring him joy, and they set out on a mission to make that happen. The billboard they design goes viral, bringing in a slew of prospective partners eager to meet their dad. The sisters’ unique personalities emerge as they deal with the complications and comical mishaps that result from their good intention.

7. Switching Goals (1999)

Switching Goals is a family comedy about identity, sibling rivalry, and personal growth set in the world of youth soccer. Mary-Kate Olsen plays Sam Stanton, the athletic and competitive twin. She is a soccer enthusiast and the team’s best player. Sam’s character is confident, assertive, and often frustrated by her sister’s lack of interest in sports. However, she sometimes feels overshadowed by her less athletic sister’s academic successes.

Ashley’s character, Emma Stanton, is the academic and more creative of the two sisters. She thinks before she speaks and would rather watch a documentary than play a sport. Emma’s character is comionate and understanding, often serving as the voice of reason between the two sisters. Despite her lack of enthusiasm for soccer, the twins’ father, the coach, has her playing for the team. To better understand one other, the sisters trade places for a while. Sam prefers to play on a team where she can relax and have fun, while Emma is motivated to show her dad that she can hold her own on the soccer field.

6. So Little Time (2001-2002)

The Carlson sisters, Chloe and Riley, are the main characters of the sitcom So Little Time, which is set in Malibu, California, and focuses on their experiences with growing up, family, and friends. Many conflicts in the series revolve around the sisters’ interactions with one another, their friends, and their family—especially their recently split parents. Chloe is the twin who embraces her individuality and has a more carefree attitude toward school and obligations.

Chloe thinks outside the box and finds novel approaches to challenges. Riley is the more mature and “sensible” sibling among the two siblings, counterbalancing Chloe’s more free-spirited nature. Riley’s character is comionate and caring, often putting others’ needs before hers. Chloe and Riley’s distinct personalities lead to conflicts and heartwarming moments as they learn to understand and appreciate each other’s differences.

5. New York Minute (2004)

Starring the Olsen twins as Roxy and Jane Ryan, New York Minute takes place in New York City and unfolds over a single day, as Roxy and Jane’s paths intersect in a series of misadventures. Roxy Ryan is a rebellious rock star who prefers to do things her own way, skip school, and get in trouble with the law. Roxy is a character that is bold, impulsive, and not afraid to try new things. Jane is Roxy’s polar opposite.

Jane is a high-achieving, well-organized student who wishes to attend Oxford University. Her personality is meticulous, responsible, and driven by her goals. She’s due to give a speech that could earn her a scholarship. While Jane has an important meeting in New York, Roxy is rushing to make it to a music video shoot. However, the twins’ competing priorities lead to a whirlwind adventure filled with mishaps, misunderstandings, and unexpected encounters. Because of their different personalities, Alex and Madison enjoy a variety of experiences on the island, ranging from scuba diving expeditions to love encounters. The film also has a subplot involving a smuggling ring, which adds intrigue and excitement to their vacation. The sisters’ determination, bravery, and teamwork aid them in solving the mystery and saving the day.

The film benefits greatly from Mary-Kate and Ashley’s ability to present two contrasting yet complimentary characters, and the picturesque Bahamian backdrop is just one of the many reasons it has endured in popularity. They meet two French boys, see prominent buildings, and learn to appreciate the city’s art, fashion, and history.

port to Paris depicts their transformation from self-centered teenagers to more mature and worldly young people as they learn to look past their original preconceptions and enjoy the richness of another culture. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s portrayal of teenagers in port to Paris is endearing because it conveys the excitement and wonder that come with discovering the world. Audiences of all ages will find the movie’s comedy, romance, and adventure enjoyable.

2. It Takes Two (1995)

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen star in It Takes Two as two unrelated girls, Amanda Lemmon and Alyssa Callaway, who look remarkably alike. Amanda, an orphan in a home operated by a kind social worker, is strong-willed, self-reliant, and outspoken; however, her tough exterior belies a soft heart and her desire for a family.

On the other hand, Alyssa Callaway, the daughter of a wealthy widower, is polite and well-mannered. Despite her privileged upbringing, she has difficulty connecting with her father and often feels isolated. The events of It Takes Two revolve around what happens when Alyssa and Amanda meet by chance at a summer camp. Amanda pretends to be Alyssa so that her father doesn’t marry a self-centered snob, while Alyssa pretends to be Amanda so that she can live a simpler life.

1. Full House (1987-1995)

The family sitcom Full House introduced the world to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played Michelle Tanner. Michelle’s character brought an endearing charm and innocence to the show, which helped tell the story of the San Francisco-based Tanner family. The show followed Danny Tanner, a widower, and his brother-in-law and best friend as they parent Danny’s three kids, including Michelle.

As the story progresses, Michelle grows from a baby to a bright young girl. Her adorable features, funny one-liners, and curious nature distinguish her persona. Michelle’s childish wonder and innocence provide a refreshing viewpoint on the family’s daily existence, and her interactions with her older sisters and other family generate pleasant and frequently amusing moments.

Ashley Olsen just welcomed a bundle of joy into the world. If you’re anything like me, you’re probably wondering which Olsen Ashley actually is. She’s one of the twins from the ’90s sitcom Full House, and sister to Elizabeth Olsen, better known as Wanda Maximoff aka The Scarlet Witch in the MCU.

There was a time there when Ashley and her sister Mary-Kate were an incredibly popular commodity, but then they grew up. Happens to us all. TMZ is reporting that Ashley and her husband Louis Eisner welcomed son Otto “a few months ago” in New York.

Ashley has yet to comment on the new addition to the family, but sources close to her say that the family is “ecstatic” over their son. The couple is notoriously private, and have only been seen in public a few times.

The couple married in Late December in Los Angeles. Ashley, 37, has been with her husband since 2017. She and her sister told i-D that the couple’s privacy was by design.

“We were raised to be discreet people,” they said. The sisters moved away from the fame machine in later years to work on their fashion empire. That discretion, Ashley said, seeps into their work.

“I think that potentially that’s just our aesthetic, our design preference. But that doesn’t mean that we don’t also appreciate something truly ornate or maximal.”

Ashley also said working with her twin sister has its benefits as well.

“We like working together and we like having that dialogue. Our instincts are kind of the same. But I think what’s great is that we have each other to lean on. And managing design is one thing and then also running the business side is another and I think you have a lot of decisions to make.”

We’ll keep you posted if and when Ashley comments on the birth of her son.

‘I am disappointed’: Jodie Sweetin was ‘very surprised’ to learn her movie had been sold to anti-LBGTQ TV channel https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/news/i-am-disappointed-jodie-sweetin-was-very-surprised-to-learn-her-movie-had-been-sold-to-anti-lbgtq-tv-channel/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/news/i-am-disappointed-jodie-sweetin-was-very-surprised-to-learn-her-movie-had-been-sold-to-anti-lbgtq-tv-channel/#respond Fri, 11 Aug 2023 16:23:46 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1559293 Craft me a disappointment.]]>

Perhaps better known for her role in the family comedy Full House, Jodie Sweetin has once again found herself in the limelight while promoting her film Craft Me a Romance. Unfortunately, in the meantime, she also discovered that it had been sold to the Great American Family Channel.

The actress’s new endeavor marks a fresh beginning in her acting career. However, this joyful moment was tarnished by the news that her new film Craft Me a Romance would become a new addition to the network’s Great American Family lineup of seven new films. In fact, this unfortunate revelation prompted Sweetin to bring up the news during an interview with PEOPLE, where the Full House alumna shared her disappointment in the lack of agency by actors when it comes to their own work.

“Sometimes, we, as actors, don’t have control over which network buys the projects we are in, nor are we a part of the process in which they get sold. So I was very surprised to learn by reading about it in the press yesterday that the independent film I worked on over a year ago was sold to Great American Family.”

Aside from sharing her surprise, the 41-year-old actress also explicitly showed her for the LGBTQ+ community in light of the recent acquisition by the contentious, bigoted channel. “I am disappointed, but in keeping with my mission of ing the LGBTQ+ family,” she said, adding that “any potential or future money made from this sale will be donated to LGBTQ+ organizations.”

For those who may be unfamiliar with the controversy, the channel gathered infamy since its inception. Candance Cameron Bure, the chief creative officer for the network, has affirmed that the Great American Family channel would “keep traditional marriage at the core,” during an interview with The Wall Street Journal. From then on out, the channel became known for its so-called “traditional” family values.

Thankfully, Sweetin does not share the same values as her former co-star. In fact, the actress has long been an open advocate for LGBTQ+ and women’s rights, and clearly, her unfortunate ties with the network aren’t enough to curtail her unwavering .

John Stamos reveals why he wanted the Olsen twins to be fired from ‘Full House’ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/tv/john-stamos-reveals-why-he-wanted-the-olsen-twins-to-be-fired-from-full-house/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/tv/john-stamos-reveals-why-he-wanted-the-olsen-twins-to-be-fired-from-full-house/#respond Tue, 25 Apr 2023 16:35:05 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1477880 It didn't take long for Stamos to regret his decision. ]]>

Full House heartthrob John Stamos has confessed to getting Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen fired from the show for a few days back in the 80s for, God forbid, acting like children.

That’s right, the beloved Jesse of the family sitcom reached his boiling point with the young twins when, while shooting a scene for the pilot where he and Dave Coulier’s Joey were meant to be babysitting them, they wouldn’t stop crying. “They wanted to be anywhere but there. And so did I,” Stamos said during his appearance on Josh Peck and Ben Soffer’s Good Guys podcast, adding “I couldn’t deal with it, and I said, this is not going to work. I can’t work like this.”

The Olsen twins, who were 11 months old when the show first started filming, were then fired by the producers at Stamos’ request and replaced with two red-headed kids. The podcast conversation then entered even murkier waters as Stamos said the replacement child actors were just not cute, or in his words “attractive,” enough. He then goes on to say that they were only on set for a few days before he said “Bring the Olsens back, these kids are terrible.” Could it be, perhaps, that the kids weren’t the problem?

Regardless of these events, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen went on to star as the baby of the family Michelle Tanner for all eight seasons of the show and are still two of the most memorable faces of Full House today. Unlike Stamos, and his Full House co-stars the late Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin, Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron Bure, and others, the twins declined the offer to return for the Netflix spin-off of the show Fuller House. Ashley was reportedly no longer comfortable acting, after not being on camera for over a decade, while Mary-Kate said the timing was bad.

Have mercy! John Stamos is writing a memoir https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/celebrities/have-mercy-john-stamos-writing-memoir/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/celebrities/have-mercy-john-stamos-writing-memoir/#respond Wed, 14 Sep 2022 16:32:52 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1298384 "While writing this book I've realized I have about a million stories to tell."]]>

If you have watched television in the last few decades, you have likely seen something with John Stamos in it. The 59-year-old has been on Full House, ER, and now adds author to his legacy with a memoir about his career.

Deadline Hollywood reports that the book, If You Would Have Told Me, is something Stamos never planned to write. However, the actor says life recently made him think, and so he put words down.

If You Would Have Told Me is the book I never planned to write. But after losing Bob, finally becoming a father, and wanting to honor all the colorful people who have made me who I am today, I figured if not now, when">

“Honestly, while writing this book I’ve realized I have about a million stories to tell, and I think you may like at least four hundred of them. It has been cathartic and healing and sometimes heartbreaking to dig in and reveal so much. This book is something between a confession and a challenge to find grace in the smallest moments of our lives. I hope my memoir offers a window into my heart and mind and helps readers find little moments of magic that make life worth living. Get everything you want and live happily ever after, but have the humility to trust in something greater than yourself for guidance.”

If You Would Have Told Me will be out next fall. Stamos is still working on screen and recently appeared as Tony Stark/Iron Man in Spidey and his Amazing Friends and recently took part in Dirty Daddy: The Bob Saget Tribute over at Netflix.
