The View has a unique place in culture as a point of convergence for people with differing political views. Perhaps now more than ever, that function matters, especially as online platforms — for better or worse — quickly become echo chambers. Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin took to X to warn Democrats against taking Trump’s bait in his legally questionable military deployment in LA.

To understand Alyssa, you first need to understand her lore. Politically, she’s been all over the place. She worked her way up from writing articles to serving in the Strategic Communications department in the White House during Trump’s first term. Her falling out with Trump ultimately came after she found the evergreen Jan. 6 insurrection attempt abhorrent. Since then, she’s moved to television — and seemingly shifted her allegiance from MAGA.

Alyssa was commenting on a post that stated how Democrats are often goaded into overreacting to Trump’s behavior. The LA protest handling hasn’t been great — that we can all agree on — but perhaps the histrionics on other issues, such as harping on Wall Street TACO nicknames, have made the Democratic Party seem easily distracted.

The CNN political commentator suggests another path instead. She’s urging that if Democrats want a winning formula going into the mid, they should focus on Trump’s use of the U.S. military. She wrote, “The U.S. military should be serving America’s interests abroad, not policing American streets.”

Alyssa also added that Democrats should highlight how Trump has byed due process and is attempting to deny people their day in court. She went on to share what she termed as “losing” messages, which included calls for abolishing deportations entirely and defunding ICE.

She worked in communications, so she knows a thing or two about reading the mood of the nation and gaining public empathy. But the heart of her post — the part that landed most heavily — was about Trump using the military to turn on the nation’s own people. There’s always a sense of pride in every country when people see army personnel. The idea is that they sacrifice so much — time away from their families, sometimes limbs, sometimes even more — for citizens to enjoy a semblance of freedom. And it’s that very freedom that now feels increasingly threatened.

In that respect, many people feel a sense of duty to honor troops in whatever small ways they can. It’s a universally relatable message: ensuring that military personnel retain public respect. When that symbolism is flipped — when the military starts looking more like an extension of authoritarian will — it hits a nerve.

There’s another layer to this conversation, though. Most centrists have been telling Democrats that the path to election glory is moving closer to the center, whereas the voting base seems more energized by progressive and leftist candidates. That tension isn’t new, but it’s gaining urgency.

The midterm elections get closer with each ing day, and it’s clear the Republicans have eroded nearly every ounce of goodwill they had. Now it’s just up to the Democrats to figure out how to speak to their base — and give them what they actually yearn for. Because without leverage over Trump, the things he might continue doing seem increasingly nightmarish.

‘I really hope that they get the chance to reconcile’: ‘The View”s Anna Navarro relates to Prince Harry’s recent statements about his father https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/tv/i-really-hope-that-they-get-the-chance-to-reconcile-the-views-anna-navarro-relates-to-prince-harrys-recent-statements-about-his-father/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/tv/i-really-hope-that-they-get-the-chance-to-reconcile-the-views-anna-navarro-relates-to-prince-harrys-recent-statements-about-his-father/#respond Tue, 06 May 2025 19:03:10 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1850622 Family problems aren't limited to the British royal family. ]]>

In a recent episode of The View, co-host Ana Navarro opened up about her connection to Prince Harry‘s candid remarks regarding his estranged relationship with his father, King Charles III. Navarro expressed empathy, stating, “I really hope that they get the chance to reconcile,” highlighting the universal complexities of family dynamics.

Prince Harry’s revelations have been making headlines, particularly following his recent BBC interview, where he discussed the breakdown in communication with his dad. He disclosed that King Charles has ceased communication with him, a situation that worsened over disputes about security arrangements and other grievances. Harry expressed a desire for reconciliation but acknowledged that some family might never forgive him.

“There have been so many disagreements”

In the interview, Harry said, “There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family,” but he’d forgiven them.” Harry, however, said he remained upset with his father for not speaking to him. “[King Charles III] won’t speak to me because of this security stuff.”

The Duke of Sussex’s concerns are further compounded by King Charles’s ongoing battle with cancer. Harry voiced his fears about the limited time they might have left to mend their relationship, stating, “I would like to get my father back,” Harry said.

Despite the strained relations, there have been subtle signs of potential reconciliation. Reports suggest that King Charles has left the door open for Harry, with sources indicating that the monarch desires to repair the relationship and have a connection with his grandchildren.

Navarro’s reflections on The View resonate with many who understand the challenges of familial estrangement. Her hope for a reconciliation between Prince Harry and King Charles underscores the universal longing for familial harmony, especially in times of adversity.

Referring to her estrangement from her father, Navarro said, “When you have that tick-tock in your head… [Harry’s] father has cancer, mine is 85 years old… That’s even more present in your mind. It is very d— hard, and I think it takes a lot of processing and a lot of humility.”

She added, “It also takes both sides,” to repair the relationship. “I don’t think it’s something that can be done unilaterally. So, as somebody that’s going through it and hopes to be able to work it out, I really hope that they get the chance to reconcile because my biggest fear is not reconciling with my father and then having regrets my entire life.”

Jasmine Crockett reveals the simple truth about why ‘Sleepy Joe’ Biden wasn’t the worst president after all https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/politics/jasmine-crockett-reveals-the-simple-truth-about-why-sleepy-joe-biden-wasnt-the-worst-president-after-all/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/politics/jasmine-crockett-reveals-the-simple-truth-about-why-sleepy-joe-biden-wasnt-the-worst-president-after-all/#respond Thu, 20 Feb 2025 18:04:08 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1835737 But his age!]]>

Is it better to have an older leader who is comionate and does the right things, or an older leader who is currently causing a massive mess that he isn’t going to clean up? For many people, it’s an easy answer, and a recent episode of The View featured a discussion comparing Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

Related: ‘What sensitive people’: NYU College Republicans’ President forced to resign for describing Barron Trump’s college experience on The Mary Sue

Jasmine Crockett appeared on the Feb. 19, 2025 episode of the ABC daytime talk show and had a mic-drop moment about what the next four years will look like under Trump. When Alyssa Farah Griffin brought up Trump’s 53% approval rating, Crockett said, “We’ve got to do better at education” and continued, “People don’t understand” but they will when rural American hospitals shut down and people lose Medicare, Medicaid, and social security and “planes continue to fall out of the sky.” She added, “it’s important to maybe have somebody that isn’t loud and ridiculous and maybe Sleepy Joe is what we wanted because we could at least sleep at night.”

Of course, Crockett is known for her brilliant statements, and she gets to the heart of the matter every single time. She’s 100% right that people’s concerns about Biden pale in comparison to Trump’s hell-bent desire to cut every government program and fire every employee. Okay, it might not be quite on that level, but it does feel pretty close. As Crockett brought up, Elon Musk’s DOGE cuts are affecting healthcare, and it’s truly chilling. The House Budget Committee’s Feb. 13, 2025 vote to take $880 billion away from the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which includes Medicaid, is terrifying. Then there’s the fact that less money is now going to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) because apparently research is unimportant.

Back in July 2024, before Biden decided to pull out of the presidential race, Crockett said: “He has a record to run on.” And, if the last month is of any indication, Trump’s second term record is already shaping up to be a horror movie. It’s impossible to imagine Biden making any of Trump’s recent decisions, from the incoming tariffs to making RFK Jr. health secretary, especially when you consider just one of RFK Jr.’s current fixations: Anti-depressants. Because, according to him, there’s a school shooting connection. Focusing on red food dye and claiming that food should be healthier is one thing, but putting out inaccurate statements about mental health and necessary medications is another, and it’s not okay. Even if there were valid reasons to say that Biden shouldn’t serve a second term, he would have put intelligent people in important, high-level positions, and he wouldn’t be cutting so many government employees.

Crockett’s statement that Trump is “loud” and “ridiculous” says it all. He would rather pat himself on the back for his imagined successes than lead and get anything real done. And while Griffin put Trump’s approval rating at 53%, a Gallup poll has even worse numbers. Based on that recent one, he has a 51% disapproval rating and 45% approval rating. I wonder why…

In a perfect universe, every politician and representative would be smart and caring (and people would drink as much coffee as they want without anxiety or racing hearts). The only way to get through these strange Groundhog Days of constant cuts and bad news is to feel grateful for reps like Crockett who are going to keep working hard and calling out Trump.

Is Joy Behar leaving ‘The View’? https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/tv/is-joy-behar-leaving-the-view/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/tv/is-joy-behar-leaving-the-view/#respond Fri, 07 Feb 2025 00:34:56 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1831643 She's been MIA for days, and fans are getting worried. ]]>

Could The View be losing one of its most outspoken cast ? Fans are in a frenzy after Joy Behar mysteriously vanished from the Hot Topics table for three days straight without prior notice. Now, many are wondering if she’s ever coming back or if she has quietly exited the talk show.

The 82-year-old comedian-host first went MIA on Monday, Feb. 3. At the time, it was not too alarming since fans know she typically skips Monday, just like how fellow cast member Whoopi Goldberg would often duck out on Fridays. But when Behar was nowhere to be seen on the Tuesday and Wednesday episodes, alarm bells went off.

Behar’s absence from The View became so conspicuous to regular viewers, especially since she’s one of the most honest, frank, and opinionated cast to grace the show. Speculations ran wild about possible health concerns or even a potential behind-the-scenes misunderstanding with fellow cast or producers.

The last-minute decision to bring in one of the OG co-host Star Jones did not help quell viewers’ concerns, but it did fill the void left by Behar during her three-day absence from the show. When Goldberg introduced Jones on Tuesday’s episode, the live audience seemingly groaned in disappointment at the thought that Behar would be missing for some time.

“Do not try and adjust your television set! Joy is not here today,” Goldberg said as the audience reacted in dismay. The Academy Award winner then tried to lighten the mood by saying, “I know, I know. But look! One of the OGs, the fabulous Star Jones [is here]!”

Jones, who co-hosted the show from 1997 to 2006, was thrilled to be back even just for a day. “It’s nice to be back! This is the new stuff up in here,” she gushed, referring to the show’s snazzy new studio. While Jones’ guest appearance helped distract fans from the elephant in the room, it was Goldberg’s statement on Tuesday that revived hope for viewers who wanted to see Behar ing the ladies on the table again.

“[Joy] will be back tomorrow, we think,” Goldberg said hesitantly. When Wednesday’s episode rolled around, however, Behar was still nowhere to be found, and so Jones was once again back to the current lineup of co-hosts at the table.

After Behar’s three-day absence from the talk show, Goldberg finally addressed the issue head-on on Thursday, Feb. 6, by confirming that Behar’s been busy with her new off-Broadway project, My First Ex-Husband. “Joy is not here [again]. We wish her a happy opening night. It’s tonight,” she said.

Behar is starring in the play at New York’s Mac-Haydn Theater alongside Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Susie Essman, Tovah Feldshuh, and Adrienne C. Moore. The show runs until Feb. 23, and while it’s exciting to see Joy back on stage, it’s also led fans to speculate yet again if this could be a sign that she’s exiting The View.

Since there’s no official word yet if Behar’s leaving the daytime talk show, there’s no reason to worry about her status as co-host. For over two decades, she’s been part of The View‘s fiery debates and laugh-out-loud moments. A break from daytime TV shouldn’t be much of a big deal for her at this point.

Behave: ‘The View’ co-host Ana Navarro-Cárdenas informs a ‘Shark Tank’ host why he’s a morally bankrupt irrelevant https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/politics/behave-the-view-co-host-ana-navarro-cardenas-informs-a-shark-tank-host-why-hes-a-morally-bankrupt-irrelevant/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/politics/behave-the-view-co-host-ana-navarro-cardenas-informs-a-shark-tank-host-why-hes-a-morally-bankrupt-irrelevant/#respond Thu, 16 Jan 2025 17:51:23 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1825554 You tell him!]]>

As everyone mentally prepares for Donald Trump’s Jan. 20 2025 inauguration (not that it’s even possible to be ready), it’s no surprise that The View co-hosts are talking about Joe Biden’s legacy. And when Shark Tank‘s Kevin O’Leary tried to insult the outgoing President, Ana Navarro-Cárdenas wasn’t having his hypocrisy.

O’Leary said, “How do you think history is going to treat his foreign policy, his Bidenomics, how do you think he’s going to be treated, pardoning his son? The Biden brand name.” Navarro-Cárdenas didn’t miss a beat and said, “I don’t think you can argue against pardoning the son when when you voted — when you ed a felon.” She added, “you lose the moral authority there.”

Navarro-Cárdenas, who recently said Biden should pardon some Democrats, might not have been able to convince O’Leary that he was wrong, but no one can get through an ego that big. The fact that the Shark Tank host said Biden has a “brand name” says it all, doesn’t it? Since when is running a country and trying to help its residents and do some good in the world a business opportunity? Well, he did attempt to run for Prime Minister once, and that didn’t work out for him. People are always telling celebrities to stop talking about politics and only focus on what’s “relevant,” like their acting or singing careers, and most people wouldn’t have a problem with O’Leary keeping his political opinions to himself.

Besides having no problem ing a felon, O’Leary is of the mind that Trump’s presidency will lead to employment opportunities in energy and infrastructure. He said on Fox Business, “You can still hate Trump, but you’ve got to love his policies because that will bring jobs to these states.” How about that’s highly unlikely to happen? Does O’Leary really think Trump knows what he’s doing when it comes to the economy considering all of Trump’s business disasters? If he does, he clearly doesn’t care since he’s more interested in standing behind Trump no matter what. According to him, Trump “saved entrepreneurship,” as he said on Fox News in Nov. 2024. Okay?

Anyway. O’Leary also believes that it would be a good idea if Canada became part of the U.S. As he said earlier in Jan. 2025, “there’s some very interesting concepts. One of them would be the economic union.” It’s “interesting” to say that one country should become part of another country just because Trump says so? Is this real life?

Also, let’s not forget that O’Leary once tweeted that it’s no big deal if someone ruins all the personal relationships in their life because “What matters is that you achieve success and become free. Then you can do whatever you like.” And then there was his recent Instagram post of a burger with Trump’s face drawn on the bun. Gross.

Navarro-Cárdenas isn’t the only one who has clapped back at O’Leary. Jon Stewart described the Shark Tank host this way: “He’s a guy who’s such an a**hole … even the other people on Shark Tank think he’s an a**hole.” Tell us what you really think, Stewart!

I’m sure everyone will be treated to more of O’Leary’s ridiculous praise of Trump in the next four years. But in the meantime, maybe he should focus on buying TikTok and go away for a little while.

President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration is taking place soon, and the hosts of the talk show The View shared their reactions to Carrie Underwood’s announcement that she will perform “America the Beautiful” at the ceremony.

Host Whoopi Goldberg, who has been a vocal critic of Trump and his policies, had a surprising reaction to the announcement. On Jan. 13, Underwood said, “I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event.” While the decision sparked controversy, Goldberg said she s the country singer’s decision.

“I stand behind her. If I believe I have the right to make up my mind to go perform someplace, I believe they have the same right. So I have to ,” Goldberg stated. However, that doesn’t mean that she will be watching the inauguration. “I won’t be watching. But that’s me,” she added.

Underwood has been private when it comes to politics, choosing not to air her opinions in public. In an interview with The Guardian in 2019, the singer said that people sometimes assume which side of the political spectrum she leans toward. “I try to stay as far out of politics if possible, at least in public, because nobody wins,” she explained, adding that issues aren’t simply a matter of “black and white.”

The other hosts’ opinions on the matter

In her statement regarding the inauguration, Underwood added, “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.” Joy Behar questioned Underwood’s decision, asking how the singer could say she loved the country when she had chosen to perform for someone who “wants to destroy the country.” However, Behar also noted that she wasn’t the type of person who would tell someone not to do something, as she believes in free speech.

Alyssa Farah Griffin, on the other hand, said that people who have a problem with Underwood should just boycott her shows and stop ing her songs. She understands that from a business standpoint, accepting the invitation to perform was smart, as she will be making money and will be an “icon of MAGA and the American right.”

Sunny Hostin also ed the discussion, saying that “art is art” and she believes artists have the right to choose where they want to perform. With that said, she would have given a “hard no” if she was asked to perform, to which the other hosts agreed.

Underwood isn’t the only one performing for Trump. The disco group The Village People will also be at two events — one at a rally a day before the inauguration and another at an inaugural ball. The group released a statement saying that they are aware the decision wouldn’t please some of their fans, but they should be able to perform their music “without regard to politics.” The Village People added that despite their candidate losing, they could bring the country together through their global anthem “Y.M.C.A.” Trump’s inauguration, which will reportedly be tech billionaires and former presidents, will take place on Jan. 20 but will be preceded by four days of events and celebrations.

As longtime viewers are already well aware, one resounding truth about The View is that it’s gonna spark some serious debates.

With a of outspoken co-hosts including the likes of Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro-Cárdenas, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, it’s not unusual for their conversations to ruffle feathers. Over the years, the ladies have weighed in on plenty of public figures, and Melania Trump ⏤ the former and future First Lady ⏤ has been no exception. Recently, however, rumors have started swirling that Melania is taking things to the next level by suing The View for $100 million. Talk about a Hot Topic!

Where did the rumor come from?

It all started in early Jan. 2025 when the gossip-heavy YouTube Uncensored Insight claimed Melania Trump was suing The View. Unsurprisingly, this alleged news quickly went viral. The video was then shared on Facebook, where it spread like wildfire. The video even included a dramatic headline: “Melania Trump SUES ‘The View’ Hosts For $100 Million After They Said This About Her LIVE ON SET.”

According to the claims, Melania was allegedly suing the show for disparaging comments made about her during a live broadcast. ers of the former First Lady were quick to rally behind her, while critics questioned whether the lawsuit was actually real. Another rumor claimed she was suing Sunny Hostin specifically for comments made about her and Donald Trump’s son, Barron. To understand the context, we need to rewind a few months.

During a Sept. 2024 episode of The View, the co-hosts discussed Melania’s first interview in two years, which she gave to Fox News. In the interview, Melania talked about her husband’s sense of humor, their shared love of music, and how much she ires his determination. Needless to say, the hosts didn’t hold back with their opinions. Whoopi mocked the idea of Trump having a sense of humor while Sunny suggested that Melania and Donald weren’t as different as they might seem. The segment was sharp-tongued as usual, but did it really cross a line that could lead to a lawsuit?

Is Melania Trump suing The View?

No, despite the viral YouTube video saying otherwise, Melania Trump is not suing The View. A thorough search of court records by Distractify shows that no lawsuits have been filed by Melania against the show or its co-hosts. This means there’s zero proof to back this rumor up and it should be taken as such ⏤ a rumor. (Eagle-eyed View-ers will know and appreciate that the show comes armed with many a legal note, often delivered by Sunny directly to the camera, in an attempt to avoid this exact scenario.)

Political onlookers largely agree that Melania Trump has always been a bit of a mystery. Unlike her husband, who thrives being the center of attention, Melania tends to keep a low profile. This reserved nature, combined with her high-profile role as First Lady, made her a frequent target for gossip and speculation the first time her husband became president. While her ers often come to her defense, her critics are equally vocal about how different she is from First Ladies past.

This dynamic creates fertile ground for exaggerated or outright false stories to spread, especially on platforms like YouTube and Facebook, where sensational headlines get clicks (not helped by the latter’s creator recently ending fact-checking on the platform). As of this writing, the claim that Melania Trump is suing The View for $100 million is baseless and just another example of how quickly rumors can catch fire, especially when they involve polarizing public figures.

‘The View’ co-host Ana Navarro-Cárdenas thinks she knows why Trump is obsessing over a Panama Canal seizure https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/politics/the-view-co-host-ana-navarro-cardenas-thinks-she-knows-why-trump-is-obsessing-over-a-panama-canal-seizure/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/politics/the-view-co-host-ana-navarro-cardenas-thinks-she-knows-why-trump-is-obsessing-over-a-panama-canal-seizure/#respond Tue, 24 Dec 2024 15:46:15 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1815827 "The man is a worldwide embarrassment."]]>

In the weeks since he secured a demoralizing victory in the 2024 election, Donald Trump has been ramping up the rhetoric to previously-unforeseen levels.

We’ve all seen him reach frequent new lows with his toxic commentary on everyone from his former allies to his opponents, but at least that was all domestic. It doesn’t make the threats, the mockery, the petulance, or the mindless ranting any more presidential, but at least its not putting the country at risk of an international dispute.

This time around, as newscasters across the nation promise he’ll be “better” this time because he has nothing to lose, Trump is serving up the opposite. His latest threats zero in on far more concerning targets, including the Panama Canal, and The View‘s Ana Navarro-Cárdenas is pretty sure she knows why.

In the last few weeks alone, Trump has levied threats at Canada, Greenland, and now Panama with his alarming chatter about retaking the Panama Canal. As is the case with Canada — no, Donnie, “many” Canadians do not want their country to become a U.S. state — Panama citizens were immediately incensed at Trump’s attempt at intimidation, and the nation’s President, José Raúl Mulino, quickly pushed back on Trump’s bravado.

He’s already shut the idea soundly down, but Trump — in classic toddler fashion — isn’t taking the hint. He’s continued to levy threats, and Navarro-Cárdenas may have pinned down why. She shared, in an instantly-popular post to social media, that Trump has a clear selfish motivation to target Panama. Unsurprisingly for perhaps the biggest tax-dodger of a generation, Trump and his companies are now on the hook for “intentionally” evading taxes for a 70-story high rise that used to be managed by Trump companies.

The new owners of the building claimed “two Trump companies failed to pay Panamanian taxes equal to 12.5% of the management fees they drew from the hotel,” according to ProPublica. Rather than put money aside for the taxes, Trump and his companies simply pocketed it, “thus intentionally evading taxes.”

That’s not even the extent of it, but it is the primary point being brought up in an ongoing lawsuit in Manhattan federal court. Trump is predictably avoiding comment on the matter, but its yet another messy business entanglement that muddies the waters of Trump’s continued political career.

Navarro-Cárdenas’ observation is almost certainly accurate, given Trump’s notoriously underhanded nature. His pre-political career is a minefield of illegal dealings and questionable foreign relations, and he’s spent nearly every moment of his time in power working to downplay the many conflicts of interest weighing him down.

Panama is just the latest, but it certainly won’t be the last. And, despite the exposing nature of Navarro-Cárdenas’ post, it won’t slow him down one bit. Sure, he’ll deny that it’s true, but it’s becoming increasingly clear to anyone with eyes and at least two working brain cells that Trump aims to use the power of the presidency to bully his way out of trouble. If individuals, businesses, or entire countries push back, he’ll just serve up massive, earth-shaking threats and work to cow them into silence. It’s the Trump way.

Did Elon Musk buy ABC as part of a one man vendetta to bring down ‘The View’? https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/tv/did-elon-musk-buy-abc-as-part-of-a-one-man-vendetta-to-bring-down-the-view/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/tv/did-elon-musk-buy-abc-as-part-of-a-one-man-vendetta-to-bring-down-the-view/#respond Sat, 14 Dec 2024 08:13:48 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1807453 After acquiring X, is ABC next?]]>

Elon Musk loves attention. So much so that he bought Twitter (now X) to have his very own spotlight. And with a hefty net worth like his, there’s not much out of his reach

The tech mogul seems to have a hand in everything from electric vehicles and space travel, to social media. But the latest buzz on social media claimed that Musk was eyeing a new frontier: network television. Specifically, rumors swirled that he was planning to buy ABC to cancel one of its most talked-about shows, The View.

The birth of the rumor

This whole saga started back in 2014 when the Facebook page The Patriots Network released a post that made a bold claim: Elon Musk was allegedly buying ABC to pull the plug on The View. The post quickly went viral, sparking both excitement and outrage. Some commenters cheered the idea of Musk stepping in, calling The View “hateful” and “prejudiced.”

Others dismissed the claim as too bizarre to be real. The post linked to an article from SpacexMania.com, which echoed the same story. The headline claimed Musk was interested in ABC to “cancel woke The View.” It also claimed Musk was considering purchasing ABC to combat “wokeness” on the network. For fans of internet satire, the punchline was right there. But the post itself carried a disclaimer labeling the content as satire. In addition, The Patriots Network and SpacexMania.com openly describe their content as satirical, clarifying that the claims were not factual.

The truth about Musk and ABC

The View

First things first, Elon Musk has not bought ABC. He also never announced plans to buy it, and there’s no credible evidence that he’s ever been interested in owning the network. Sure, Musk has shown interest in media before. His 2022 acquisition of Twitter (now X) proved he’s not afraid to make bold moves in the communications world. However, ABC is still firmly under the ownership of The Walt Disney Company.

While Disney has reportedly considered selling ABC as part of restructuring efforts, there’s been no mention of Musk being a buyer. The rumor was debunked by fact-checkers almost as soon as it surfaced. It’s a classic example of satire being mistaken for reality. And let’s be real, if Musk were planning something as huge as buying a major TV network, he’d probably tweet about it first, seeing as he just loves the attention.

The idea of Musk canceling The View struck a chord with certain audiences, and that’s likely why the rumor took off. Some critics worry about the consolidation of media ownership and Musk’s outsized influence over public discourse. His Twitter/X acquisition was polarizing, so imagining him reshaping ABC made for juicy speculation. But as fun as the idea might be to debate, it’s simply not true. The network hasn’t been sold, and Musk has shown no interest in entering the world of television broadcasting… The takeaway is that Elon Musk isn’t buying ABC, and The View isn’t going anywhere because of him. This rumor was born from satire and took off thanks to social media’s love of drama.

Aw, Piers Morgan thinks people care about his opinion of ‘pointless’ and ‘irrelevant’ talk show ‘The View’ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/celebrities/aw-piers-morgan-thinks-people-care-about-his-opinion-of-pointless-and-irrelevant-talk-show-the-view/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/celebrities/aw-piers-morgan-thinks-people-care-about-his-opinion-of-pointless-and-irrelevant-talk-show-the-view/#respond Mon, 25 Nov 2024 19:22:12 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1799378 Moron.]]>

Some people simply can’t have a thought and keep it to themselves. When that happens for most of us, at worst it gets posted to Facebook and X and a handful of people see it — thanks for the “like,” Nana! — and then it goes away.

And that’s probably for the best because nobody cares, and, looking back, those posts are usually a bit embarrassing. Unfortunately for the world, Piers Morgan has multiple platforms from which to pontificate and drop hot-takes like they’re going out of style.

Morgan’s latest such offering concerns The View, which he dubbed “pointless” and “irrelevant” — despite viewership being up and despite a massive four-plus million viewers of its post-Election Day broadcast, its largest in 10 years.

Writing in a New York Post column, Morgan engages in a weird fantasy about being stranded on a desert island with the talk show’s hosts, describing it as one of his “worst nightmares.” Detailing the “torrid, mentally scarring” scenario, where each of the show’s hosts performs a series of sensationalized actions and goes on rants about Trump, Morgan attacks the supposed hypocrisy of The View’s hosts. This is a truly remarkable lack of self-awareness coming from a man who himself has been caught in hypocritical behavior after demanding better ethical conduct from people in the journalism and entertainment industries, and it’s not even the first time.

It’s always worth ing that when Piers Morgan was editor of the Daily Mirror newspaper in the U.K., he was implicated in a phone hacking scandal that received massive media attention due to the unprecedented scale of the allegations. Not only was this activity unlawful, it was highly unethical. Morgan denied any knowledge of the hacking during the Leveson Inquiry, but during a later trial involving Prince Harry, the judge accepted evidence “without hesitation” claiming Morgan knew about the phone hacking across multiple years and instances. Morgan continues to deny the claims, although, during the Mirror Group Newspapers trial, no legal argument was made by the MGN lawyers against them.

In his column, Morgan continues to attack the hosts of The View for their political discourse and opinions, going so far as to call for the show’s cancellation — despite being against “cancel culture” in his own words. Where he has legitimate points, the points are lost in his vitriol — doubly exasperating because the entire column is supposedly calling out the hosts’ own vitriolic hyperbole and hypocrisy.

In his writing about The View, Morgan has done exactly the same thing he is accusing the hosts of doing, as he contributes to an increasingly polarized political space where any sense of nuance is left behind in favor of attempts to belittle and minimize opposing viewpoints in service of a loyal base. Fighting what he calls a “farcical gesture of brazen bias” with a farcical gesture of brazen bias, Morgan delivers yet another opinion carefully designed to telegraph a particular view to position himself for the continuation of his grift as a social commentator. And it’s just as boring as the last time. And the time before that. And… well, you get it.

‘Before these clowns go after him’: ‘The View’ co-host Ana Navarro-Cardenas tells Joe Biden exactly who he should pardon ahead of the dump era https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/celebrities/before-these-clowns-go-after-him-the-view-co-host-ana-navarro-cardenas-tells-joe-biden-exactly-who-he-should-pardon-ahead-of-the-dump-era/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/celebrities/before-these-clowns-go-after-him-the-view-co-host-ana-navarro-cardenas-tells-joe-biden-exactly-who-he-should-pardon-ahead-of-the-dump-era/#respond Thu, 14 Nov 2024 20:28:30 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1792828 She said what she said.]]>

Donald Trump, who’s spent years now whining about the “weaponization of government,” has never been shy about his intention to wield his incoming power with a dictatorial flair.

He’s brazenly itted his plan to prosecute his political enemies, to change laws so they favor him and the blisteringly wealthy cronies who prop him up, and for once, he’s not lying. There’s not a doubt in reasonable Americans’ minds that Trump will weaponize the government to the absolute limits of his power, and then expand his power so that he can weaponize it further. Anything to give the bloated bigot more strength, more money, more influence, and more toadies to pin the blame on when the bill comes due.

The ladies of The View have been onto the notorious grifter’s game for a long time now, and co-host Ana Navarro-Cardenas is issuing some stellar advice to Joe Biden as he eyes his final months in office. Once Biden is out and Trump is in, a target will instantly fall on a number of notoriously unpopular Democratic figures, and Biden’s own son is at the top of the list.

“Dear @JoeBiden, pardon Hunter before these clowns go after him to take revenge on you,” Navarro-Cardenas wrote, before adding that Biden should also consider “pre-emptive pardons” for a range of other Democratic figures, including “Liz Cheney, Kamala Harris, Adam Kinzinger, Jack Smith…and anybody else who may be on the enemies list of the promised retribution.”

Joe Biden advice from Ana Navarro

That “promised retribution” is likely to reach far and wide, and may even affect politicians who’ve since stepped back from the arena. Figures like Hillary Clinton, Barack and Michelle Obama, and Biden himself are additionally at risk if Trump gets revenge-happy, as commenter @JoJoFromJerz aptly pointed out.

Navarro-Cardenas’s tweet quickly prompted pushback from right-leaning s, who slyly pondered why Democratic figures would require preemptive pardons if they’ve done nothing wrong. That question is easily answered by a simple examination of Trump’s own promises, which he’s been laying down for months, but we can’t expect his own ers to know that. Why would they listen to the man they elected when he tells them exactly what he intends to do?

Trump has already outlined that his second term will be one of revenge, and his list of intended targets seems to grow by the day. From political opponents like Biden, Kamala Harris, and Nancy Pelosi to critics like former Representative Liz Cheney and the broad range of media figures who’ve been critical of his campaign and tactics, Trump has sworn broad vengeance against a huge number of people. He almost certainly won’t target them all once he’s landed in office, but those that he does will face the wrath of a spoiled rotten toddler who was just handed a president’s power.

That’s the future we’re marching toward, one depressing day at a time, and Navarro-Cardenas’ warning speaks to a fear felt by many Americans. We don’t know exactly what to expect from a second Trump term, but we do know one thing — he’s already told us at least some of his plans for our country, and we’d be fools not to listen.

‘This is what the country voted for’: Ana Navarro unpacks the unsettling reality of America’s impending mass deportation https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/celebrities/this-is-what-the-country-voted-for-ana-navarro-unpacks-the-unsettling-reality-of-americas-impending-mass-deportation/ https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/celebrities/this-is-what-the-country-voted-for-ana-navarro-unpacks-the-unsettling-reality-of-americas-impending-mass-deportation/#respond Tue, 12 Nov 2024 18:46:04 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.cracksfree.org/?p=1790383 We've got a bleak future of kids in cages – again. ]]>

In a startling upset that has blindsided the Democratic party, soon-to-be president Donald Trump‘s campaign managed to nab the vote of Latino men across the country. While his victory can’t be chalked up to a single group, the surprising turn of events has caused a shockwave to ripple through the Hispanic community.

Democratic-ing Hispanics like Ana Navarro are still trying to make sense of the decision. Using incoming “border czar” Tom Homan’s own words, The View co-host voiced her concerns and spit out some facts about a stark future for the immigrant community.

AnaNavarro: “Those of you who voted for Trump, this is what you wanted, this is what you voted for. You screwed around and you’re about to find out.” #TomHoman #DonaldTrump #TheView

The former director of ICE appeared on an October episode of 60 Minutes where he answered some questions about how the nation would handle the border situation under Trump. The 45th president has pledged to launch the largest deportation operation in the country’s history, and has tapped Homan as the head of, “all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin.”

“Wait until 20205,” he said, “No one’s off the table. If you’re here illegally, you better be looking over your shoulder.”

When asked how the new istration could commit to mass deportation without separating families, Homan has a vicious and simple solution, “Families can be deported together.”

While most Americans are on board for a more secure border, Navarro couldn’t help but focus on the inhumanity of Homan’s answer. “What he is saying is that ‘U.S. citizens can be deported.’”

“What he is saying is that if the parent is undocumented and they have U.S. citizen children, or U.S. citizen spouses and you don’t want to separate them, then let’s deport the U.S. citizens.” Trump has already promised to be much more aggressive on immigration in his second term. Now that Republicans control the House and the Senate, he’ll face far fewer roadblocks than he did the first time around.

“When you talk about mass deportations, people think ‘Oh, it’s just going to be the criminals,’” Navarro says, but preliminary research shows a much different story. The Pew Research Center estimates that around 8 million undocumented people currently call the U.S. home, while the American Immigration Council puts the number closer to 11 million. They work in every sector. From unskilled labor to tech companies like Uber, they fill vital roles that, once emptied, will likely impact adjacent workforces. Not only that, but the cost of mass deportation won’t come cheap, and while federal agencies will oversee the effort, local law enforcement will do the heavy lifting.

The ACLU reports that some 500,000 Dreamers – undocumented children who have grown up as American citizens – will be returned to their family’s country of origin. Or that nearly 175,000 Ukrainian refugees will be sent back to a terrifying life they just escaped. And that’s not factoring those from countries like Afghanistan, Myanmar, and any other number of war-torn countries whose victims have sought safety within our borders. And as Navarro reminds those who are just as confused by the turnout as she is, “This is what the country voted for.” But the human consequences have yet to be seen. What these deportations mean, as Navarro continues, “is grandmothers, what it means is brothers and aunts. What it means is abuelos y abuelas. It means Dreamers, it means your family , it means your colleagues, it means your friends.”  We’ve put these decisions in the hands of men who have shown time and time again they view others as less-than – and the last time an Other-obsessed regime rounded up a group they saw as subhuman, very few made it out alive.
